Vera Anderson, being noticeably pretty, probably had many chances to date while in her teenage years living in Burrville and going to school in Koosharem. She remembered, "I met LeGrand Anderson when I was 16 years old. I thought he was the greatest, best-looking guy on earth. I still do. He played saxophone in an orchestra--he could play many instruments."LeGrand's parents had a car with a rumble seat. LeGrand mentioned, "I met Vera Anderson and had my first date with her in a cute 1928 Chev Coupe. I courted her continually until February 11, 1932 when we were married. I'll always say that I married the dearest, sweetest, and most unselfish person in the whole world.
